Aimee Gordon Kahaian is a contemporary impressionist painter based in suburban Detroit specializing in acrylics on canvas to create evocative landscapes and whimsical pet portraiture. Her work explores the themes of environmental beauty and resilience through a lens of textured brushwork and colorful palettes. Aimee’s work has been exhibited at the HAWK Community Center and Farmington Hills City Hall with a solo exhibition at Farmhouse Coffee & Ice Cream in Farmington Hills, MI.
She holds an arts degree from Western Michigan University and is currently working on a pet portrait of Stella, the Rottweiler.
As a mother, aunt, wife, and dog owner, Aimee has plenty of inspiration to express her talents through painting. Her trusted goldendoodle, Newton, is a constant companion at her side while she is painting.
